About Us

Committed to Student Success

In recent decades, higher education has vigorously sought to increase access for students. But access without success often tragically results in "debt without a degree" for far too many. This troubling outcome is tragic for students—and a real and present danger to colleges across the country.

Why We Built InTuition

The problems of poor student retention and declining graduation rates have become increasingly obvious, critically disturbing, and very difficult for colleges to effectively address.

These issues combined to drive the development of InTuition as a retention tool designed to elevate the trajectory of participating students through graduation.

We are totally committed to student success.

InTuition is a turnkey retention program that incentivizes students with rebates, not discounts—which require that students graduate to receive the benefit. By rewarding completion, not just enrollment, InTuition transforms student commitment and improves retention rates.

Our Founder

Dr. Alan Marble is a first-generation college student with a 35-year career in higher education.

Prior to being named president at Missouri Southern State University in 2013, Dr. Marble served seven years as president of Crowder College. He has held leadership positions in Continuing Education, Development/Advancement, Grant Writing/Management, and as Chief Financial Officer.

Dr. Marble earned his Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska, where the focus of his research and dissertation was on the "preparation, performance, and persistence" of first-time, full-time, degree-seeking students. The data revealed evidence of shockingly low retention and graduation rates at many colleges and universities.

Sadly, the "failing to finish" burden fell heaviest on first-generation, low-income students.

Being a first-generation college student himself, the findings of his research launched a career dedicated to student success—and ultimately to the development of the InTuition Scholars program.

Dr. Marble and Lori have been married 30 years and are the proud parents of three children, all of whom are college graduates with advanced degrees.

Our Mission

InTuition Scholars is dedicated to transforming student retention through early and sustained engagement, financial incentives tied to graduation, and data-driven support.

We believe that the easiest students to recruit are the ones you already have.

By incentivizing students to keep going and FINISH, retention rates improve—and so does your bottom line.

The InTuition Challenge

Provide us with your 20 students most heavily impacted by systemic hurdles, observe how InTuition makes a difference, and then expand the program.

We're so confident in our program that we invite you to test it with a cohort of your most challenged first generation, financially burdened students.

See the engagement. Track the progress. Measure improved retention.

Frequently Asked Questions

How big of a time sink is this?

Not at all. Set it up. It runs itself.

Where does the money come from to pay them back?

From recovered tuition the student has paid or, even better, from DONORS.

How long does it take to get set up?

Onboarding is quick and intuitive. We like to meet personally to get the ball rolling, but the actual setup process takes less than an hour. During setup, your program will be customized to your needs, and an administrator will be assigned to manage the university team.

How much does this cost?

$15,000 per year (flat fee)
